CrossFit Eta has a lot of impressive women. This is one of their stories.
Obviously, Katrina is my wife. I want to talk about some of the changes I have seen in the two and half years she has been at CrossFit Eta.
When I met Katrina, she had three food groups: Hamburgers, Ice Cream, and Chick-fil-A. I never had to entice her to go grab any of the three. All I needed to do was mention one and we were off.
She did CrossFit and really enjoyed the physical challenge. She climbed mountains in Colorado with her family every summer and appreciated hard things.
Over time, she has adopted a much different mindset for nutrition and training. Somewhere along the way, she realized the changes she wanted to see were not linked to her efforts in the gym. She gave great effort whenever she was training and attended consistently.
She realized her nutrition habits would move the needle the most. During the nutrition challenge at the start of 2018, she completed the Whole30. She felt significantly better and her physique changed.
Since then, Katrina is devoted to nutrition. She is devoted enough that she is now the Nutrition Coach at CrossFit Eta. You can see her recipes and posts every Tuesday on the gym blog.
In conclusion, she still likes hamburgers, but it is a lot harder to convince her to eat differently.
