Wedge Salad

Sometimes I just want my food to be interesting. I don’t know why, but a Wedge Salad is interesting to me. Maybe it’s because you have to use a knife to eat it. Or maybe it’s just because it looks pretty. Or maybe it’s because they often serve them at fancy restaurants… Whatever the case, a Wedge Salad is a super easy way to make your salad interesting, without having to do a ton of extra work!

  • 1/4 of a head of Iceberg Lettuce

  • 1-2 Eggs

  • 1-2 pieces of Bacon

  • 1/2 Avocado

  • Ranch

  1. Start by boiling your egg(s). Fill a pot with enough water to cover an egg and heat it on high until the water is boiling. Carefully add your egg(s) and allow to cook for 12 minutes. Immediately remove egg(s) from the water and place in a bowl of ice water. Once cooled, peel your eggs and slice them into thin slices.

  2. Next cook your bacon. Heat a pan to medium heat and add your bacon. Allow to cook, flipping every few minutes to cook both sides evenly. Once cooked, remove from pan and place on a paper towel lined plate. Once cool, crumble the bacon into small pieces.

  3. Wash your Iceberg lettuce head, dry it off, and cut it into four wedges. Use just one per salad.

  4. Prepare your avocado by cutting it into cubes and then scooping it out with a spoon.

  5. Now you’re ready to assemble your salad! Start with your Iceberg wedge. Add your egg(s), bacon, and avocado. Top it off with a Drizzle of Ranch!

  6. Enjoy your fancy little salad!
