In years past, we've made a big focus on QUALITY of food for our challenges. This year, we are going to be focusing on QUANTITY - though you may find out that eating quality foods keeps you from feeling as hungry throughout the day because of the nutrient density!

This challenge is going to be focused around the Zone Diet which focuses on eating the correct amount of macronutrients (protein + carbs + fat) at each meal. We will have two categories of winners - point system & body composition change.

The point system will consist of points assigned based on compliance to the Zone Diet, water intake, sleep, and even some bonus points revolving around making the May Committed Club! The body composition change will be based on a fat loss + muscle gain through the month of May.

We will be having Michael from Nutrishop in Alliance here at the gym on April 30th from 4:45 to 8:00pm helping us out. He is bringing their InBody scanner to help us get our starting metrics. All you have to do is stand barefoot on the machine, grab it with your hands, and it uses impedance to calculate your body fat percentage, lean muscle mass, and even provides a full sheet breakdown of a ton of helpful info. Once you get scanned, you will sit down with Coach Katrina who will use those numbers to calculate how many "blocks" you are to be eating each day and at each meal in accordance with the Zone Diet methods.
